Jadwin Canoe Rental services the trophy trout section of the Current River that extends from Montauk State Park to the Cedar Grove Campground. Trout under 18″ must be released and the daily limit is 1 fish. Rainbow and brown trout, some exceeding 8 pounds, are caught from this section of the river every year. Artificial lures only are permitted. Soft plastic may not be used.
From Cedar Grove downstream the limit is 4 trout. Brown trout must be at least 15 inches and Rainbow trout can be any length. Live bait can be used.
